Mawgan Porth
Newquay, Cornwall
Located between Padstow and Newquay on Cornwalls' North coast, Mawgan Porth is an overlooked surfing jewel. It has good lefts and rights on various peaks across the range of the tide and can be deceptively powerful. The river mouth also
generates high quality lefts, especially in medium sized swells. On a good day, most people will head to Fistral which means you can often have the surf at Mawgan Porth to yourself on a weekday.
A typically Cornish village and resort within easy travelling distance of the surfing capital of Newquay, which offers all the surfing holiday facilities anyone could want. A great surfing holiday destination for those wanting something a bit quieter but with an equal chance of scoring great waves. The main coast road, car parking and other facilities are within a stones throw from the surf.
