Waterplash picks up the most swell on Jersey. There are two main peaks
but as the tide gets higher the beach flattens out and the waves get fatter. When the sand banks are good, low to mid tide splash can hold epic surf from 2-6ft. The open beach breaks towards the centre of the St Ouen's bay tend to work throughout the tides but are badly affected by backwash during bigger high tides and can be blocked out by offshore reefs on low. Therefore Watersplash, Goldsmiths and Le Braye are by far the most consistent and crowded. Watersplash works best on a westerly swell with easterly winds and is best around mid to low tides.
