Aberdeen Beach is a 2 mile section from the River Dee North to the
River Don. It is part of a beach that continues North to Newburgh
Sands. The beach has anti-errosion groynes which go from the shore out
to sea that can be a hazard at higher tides. The beach is split into five main surfing areas: Footdee, Life Guards, Leisure Centre, Driving Range and 28's.
Aberdeen is Scotland's third largest city, and as such creates the
perfect opportunity for combining a surf trip with a
shopping/relaxing/sightseeing holiday. Plenty of skateparks and golfing
opportunities. You can get cheap accommodation in the Aberdeen Youth
Hostel or check the listings on the right for bed and breakfast, hotel
and camping options.
